Hi, My name ia Mitch but my friends call me Inky. (long story, kinda boring so I am not going go there). I live in north lansing, dewitt area. I have been working on rails since 95. With help from a friend we have built several and now I am restoring a 73 standard class 11 style bug. This is my first attempt at a full body car so it should be fun. Well chat later.

Thanks, Yes I have been to silver lake but not in two years. Sorry no pics yet, but I have a berrien 2 seater, fiberglass kit, 1835, 2x3 trailing arms, and the best part is it is street legal. We do a lot of two tracking all over northern Michigan and we would like to try the trails in the UP this year. You go to the dunes much?

Use to dunno about any more Grandma use to live up there she passed away last year.  I have a sand rail that I was redoing, but lost all motivation. |

Welcome, you missed a GTG in your area last weekend, we have members from a wide area and try to do GTG at a favorite eatery in different parts of SW Michigan to cater to them. We meet, eat, talk, plan and scheme. I'm Stevens Dad, I drive a yellow 73' Type 181 Thing named "Ruffuss" I also have a pr. of 62' bug verts, another Thing off road, and an old berrien long back on/off road. Welcome Inky..I live in South Lansing..have a 71 Super that I am working on, and a 70 Bus, and a Tub Bug.
We had a GTG last week here in Lansing, but there is another one in Battle Creek next month..join us if you can.

Hey dansam I went thru your neck of the woods yesterday. They had some real nice ice and snow sculptures. I grow up in Unionville. As for the class 11, so far I have changed the rear torsion bar from stock to 26mm short bars,notched the rear plates, installed some tweed 3 1/2 inch lift spindles up front, I have a body lift I am thinking about putting in it. I hope to put a nice set of 30-9.5-15 tires under it. The car was totally striped down when I bought it so it has been interesting figuring out what I have and what I need to get. I am going to try to make Battle Creek pending what day it is. If I can make it I will bring pics.
