Glad you guys had fun, Funny thing is we cleaned everything up then headed to Pizza Hut afterward and it was sunny and warm.

OMG I can't believe I missed this. I am so ashamed. I totally forgot. Wasn't I supposed to get an email? Maybe I did and it got lost in all the other work mail.
I've been working 70 hour weeks due to a major project and my head hasn't been thinking about anything but work. Sorry.

I would like to thank everyone involved with the show in Holland.
I had a great time, even with the nasty weather, and I was happy that I did not head back to East Lansing when I ran into the rain. I also learned a lot…
First, a 1400 pound car with wide tires at 70 miles per hour may not be the hot ticket on a highway with standing water on it.
Second, it may be possible that “Puma” means “not even close to watertight” in Portuguese.
Still, no more than 20 minutes after I started to sop the water out of it, and dry the seats a bit at a covered gas station, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and after a leisurely meal at the Pizza Hut, everything had drive up enough to let me put the top down and have a great drive home.
I decided to take the scenic route home via Hastings, which is pretty much all fast two-lane roads all the way to Lansing.
Thanks for a great day, and any day spent looking at great cars can never be a waste, even if it is really, really wet.
Both the Puma and I have dried out, and soon it will be time to get ready for the Plymouth show.

Making the GOODVOLKS..the GOODVOLKS.. ;D I new we could live up to the name! Good job donor! What is the bar set at for next year? $1500? $2000? What was the official attendence number? Bigger than I expected, considering the weather. Dave, your Puma had me stumped, I've seen a few, and everytime I mistake them for a Triumph, or Fiat, obviously WAAAY better than either of them!!! Cool ride!!! Thanks for braving the rain. Sal, CONGRATS!!! Cool car! Cori can't wait to get her hands on it!! |
