1960 Sargasso Green Convertible

Hi,
I live in the UK but have an early 1960 Beetle Convertible that started life at Import Motors, Grand Rapids, Michigan but then moved to Lafayette Indiana and ultimately Worth, Illinois where it was sold by the daughter of the owner who had kept it off road for 40+ years. It was imported to the UK and I have owned it for 18 months or so.
It is a matching numbers car but was a basket case and has had to have a serious amount of structural welding but is it is now painted in its original Sargasso Green and sitting on its fully refurbished chassis. I have an original Okrasa kit that I am currently fitting to the 30hp engine and have a new canvas top etc. to go on. I hope to finish restoring the car by the end of the Summer.
I intend to keep the car for many years and want to gather as much history as possible but am struggling to find very much about Import Motors or any photographs of other Sargasso Green cars. Are there any Volkswagen fans in Michigan that remember the car being for sale or have pictures of it or another Sargasso Green car? I'm also interested in acquiring an Import Motors licence frame or some literature, service books.
