Turn signals don't blink when lights are on

My 6V 1966 Beetle has turn signals that stay on when the lights are on and/or the brake is pressed. They will blink if I rev the engine a bit.
Checked over the connections and nothing seems corroded or out of place.

Ideas? Thanks!

FYI I went through all the wires to the relay (like THIS www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=211953227BWW only for a 6V) one at a time and cleaned them & dielectric grease on them.

Now it works like a champ - brakes on, headlights on.
