Curious if anyone out there has some used parts to put together an alt setup for my baja. Right now I have a gen and it's giving me some problems.
Whatcha got and how much you need?

You just need the stand and the alternator. The backing plate, pulley, and belt all can be reused after you splice the wires. That's what I did maybe 4 years ago now in my 70 bus with a generator and have had zero problems. The pulleys line up fine.

I believe most of the alternators are internally regulated. I have a bosch on mine and I have no external regulator.

got parts ordered. thanks for the suggestions guys. I went with a alt at Advance for $75 and got a stand coming along with some other things from Appletree. Hopefully I can figure out how to change it out begining of next week.
