So I have two 1200cc VW motors that appear to be in alright condition...both turn free with no obvious problems. What should I do with them? Classic tub cruiser? Pan based tunnel buggy? Build a 29 second drag car? Boat anchor? Who has some ideas;)

These engines came out of cars I picked up last fall. I guess a more direct question is are these engines worth screwing with and are there any tricks to improve performance...as if they ever had any get up and go to begin with;)
