Kustom VW Chopped Tub Bug.....

This is my new Project...
And below is how she currently sits waiting for project to start.. 8)

Its what we use to call a Tub Bug back in Cali !!!

It has a full chopped off roof. All the seams have been welded shut with metal and smoothed.. All the out side handles have been shaved as well as custom sank in liscense plate in the decklid.. Shaved rear fenders with sank in lights. Shave front fenders with sank in turn signals.
Shave front trunk latch handle. Full Kustom interior - Completly shaved Dash.

Plan on having it finished in about two months.. And it will be for sale... $$$

This project is going to help fund my own personal Vdub I will be building this winter to have ready for Summer Kruisin !!!!!!!

Doing all the work at my new garage Kustom Street Skinz !!!!!! Still in the baby stages of the buisness but plan on opening up a full shop sometime in the next two years... My Dad is partners with me along with my best friend Blake..

Official Project Start Date: 11-10-14

Full tear down and clean up.

Motor and Gas tank and lines - Trans and Suspension and Brakes will be checked and redone if needed or replaced..

This is scheduled for this week...

What part of Chicago you at? Recently, I moved to Crystal Lake and have thought about chopping my Squareback project to do as a Type III roadster (if I can't find a bug body). What are your comments on that idea? My project, V8Square is exactly as it sounds. I have a custom 2" x 3" square tube chassis, Mustang II front suspension, triangulated 4-bar, narrowed 9" Ford rear end, 700R4 transmission and a brand new, small block Chevy 350 crate motor. All of this is stuffed into a 95" wheelbase car that my Squareback sets on.
