12 volt conversion

The previous owner of my 64 had a 12 regulator wired into the original generator. I bought an alternator for it but I'm not sure if I have it wired correctly. Theres a large red wire coming from the starter on the passenger side and another one on the drivers side. Do I tie them together and hook them up to the b+ terminal?

Drive side is prolly going to Voltage reg.under the back seat? don't need that if ur Alt is a 'one wire type'?
I found the muffler for that big Header I sold u.
