I had already promised Dan Pierce to go to the MVVW Color Tour before there was a GoodVolks Color Tour, so I missed the Good Volks color tour.
Missed everyone.
There was on plus, however. There was a 1949 Beetle there! Earliest Beetle I have ever seen, even in museums!
It was in amazing shape...did not seem to have any noticeable rust, a bit tatty inside. It had the lead for a while, and it was pretty quick.
I took a couple of picture of it, but unfortunately, I had been doing a lot of Macro work Thursday and Friday, and like an idiot, I left the camera settings on "Macro" and everything was out of focus, d**n it all, so no pictures.
Still, it was REALLY cool to see a VW that old.

Not that one. Here is a picture, but the softness of the photo makes it look better than it is...but I would still take this car in a second! Like I said, seemed to be pretty much rust free... Dave Riedle

We missed you Dave! We had a great cruise with lots of color and a good turnout of cars. From the pics I have seen it looks like the MVVC cruise was very good as well. It would be cool if we could have our 2 cruises end at the same place sometime. Maybe now that we have an MVVC insiders with Dan that can happen
