I have a high rpm miss (air cooled1915cc)and was talking a guy that was running a rabbit at martin. He was regapping his plugs closer for the same reason. Anyone ever run into this for the cure. I have gone thru the whole fuel system. Pretty sure it is not there. Looking for ideas.

What are you running for an ignition system? What are your plugs gapped at now? What kind of compression are you running? I had to reduce the gap in my plugs gap due to the boost blowing the spark out, high compression will do the same thing.

Using a MSD distributor and a 6AL box with 10.3 on the compression. Plug gap is .035.

Not trying to hijack this thread or anything, but what is a recommended heat range for plugs? 6?

Running autolite 4164 which equal to NGK b6ea. Fuel is 50-50 of 110 race to 89 recreational no ethenl.no moisture in the dizzy. Wires are new MSD and dizzy is 5 years old with very little time used. Using 44 IDF's with 160 main. I'm leaning toward trying 170 and closing the plug gaps. Still looking for idea though. I am going to all recreational fuel which is 89 octane.
