They came with several pretty big holes in them from the factory, I don't think that little one made by grinding some material away is really going to make a difference in the grand scheme of things. If you are really worried about it just cut a piece of paper to cover it and spread some JB Weld over top to seal it up.

I might just do the JB weld thing. Saves me some $ needed for a million other things

yeah, there is no real reason to spend money on a minor thing like that. It's not like it structurally compromises the alternator or anything like that.

Not much progress today. Im feeling lazy and there is beer.....got the seats and seat belts out. Gas tank out. I am considering painting the thing since its basically gonna be down the the frame but tube isnt fun to paint. The more I look at it the more ugly spots I see. I am also thinking about ditching the cutting brake. Its just kinda in the way. I dont know though. Got some stuff packed up for the bug run on Sunday as well.

No more voltage with more holes but you can go faster 'cause it would be lighter:)

So last night after I got home from the bug run, I cleaned up the few parts I bought. My super sweet shifter cleaned up dang near like new and I just couldnt resist bolting it down in the rail. Dont have a knob for it yet but I 100% sat in it making engine noises and going through the gears! HAHAHAH Im a dork I know. But so far I am in love with that shifter
