That looks like it's in great shape, Bren. Are you and Marie going to have His & Hers Campers?

Not really sure what I am going to do with it yet. Original plan is to get it running, driving and stopping. Then clean it up and flip it.

And everybody wonders how I got all the stuff that is in my barn. Is that radio a pullout? Cool bus, nice score.

This stuff multiplies! Radio does appear to pull out. Have not messed with it much yet. Does seem like a nice period item for it. No barn additions, just clean up and make more room. (someone needs to buy my dune buggy project!) It would have been a keeper had it showed up before the blue one. Might be time to see what oldbug.com could get me for the blue one? Maybe? "no more projects" Remember, after the beige '67 I said I was not going to do any more cars then too. lol. This is far less of a project than anything else I have done so far. Probably the coolest thing about this bus is the fact that it is one owner and it seems to have all it's original stuff with it; stool, tool bag, jack, camper power cord, childs cot, rear screen, etc. Curtains are the only interior piece I think I might replace. But, only if I can get something very original. And, I would keep the originals to go with the bus to the new owner. This is going to be a fun 'project'.

Bren:
I recognize the radio, and it is a 70's, and it was a moderately expensive item sold by Radio Shack. One "special" feature on it is entirely internal...it is was sold as an accessory for motor homes, and has some suppressor circuitry that allows it to run while a motor home generator is running. It should not have a 60 cycle hum while the generator is running.
The radio was often used with motor homes of the period. It's a cool, period piece. It is very cool in my opinion...hope it sound good.
It is not a pull-out radio, and can not be removed.
In my opinion, this van should be a keeper for you. It is SO original you can clean it up and show it. Once you get it running, and make certain it is OK mechanically, I might put the blue bus up on Oldbugs.com and see if you can move it.
This bus looks great as it is, especially with trend going for unrestored vehicles, and if you ever do want a to do a fancy restoration on it, you know what you have.
Just my two cents worth, (and probably about 1.5 cents overvalued).

Trade you an '85 weekender for it.

Dave: I am considering that option for sure. This bus is such a nice honest one owner driver. Could be very cool to just use pretty much as is. Mike: The disc brakes are a real plus. Especially if I ever really try to tow the drag bug or sand rail. But then this too will need a bigger motor....
Not ready for a '85 yet Ed.
