Red Beetle

Yeah I know we don't usually have a spot for new beetles but this one bounced of the frt. bumper of my truck and ended up on its side in the middle of Red Arrow Highway about an hour ago. Everyone one is AOK! nothing hurt except the red Beetle, even my truck is ok just knocked off some rust and added some red paint to the bumper. Sharon lost control coming down westbound "Snake Hill" at Van Kal, where the Beetle and I met. She was almost stopped(according to her) when she hit in the left frt bumper of the truck, sending her onto her passenger side. I got her out of the car through the window as gas was spilling all over. Anyway while we exchanged paper work, I gave her a card and told her visit the forums(see if she does). The cop said he wasn't issuing a ticket but she was at fault(how come that never happens when I'm at fault) Anyway all is fine, except the water pumper.

Wow Kenn I am glad everyone is OK. The roads are slick be careful out there. Was the New Beetle totaled?

Yeah!, I'm sure it was, wasn't a panel on it that wasn't dented, even the top was creased. She kinda powered into me with her front tires turned and like ran up the front bumper of the truck and slow motion onto the side, she did a Dukes of Hazard two wheel roll of about 50ft or so, before settleing on her side. Like I said it was all slooow motion. I was amazed that there wasn't much if any damage to the truck(who could tell, right) Had the dog with me and he didn't even get up from chewing on his chew toy. Any way alls fine here. Other than a sore wrist and shoulder. Later Kenn

WOW! Glad your alright Kenn and Sharon. Still makes me sad that a NB died in it. It has been pretty wicked driving the past few days.
