Yup need to vent, hooked up a stocker and can't get gas to the carb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put the electric pump on it and it runs all day. WT(!@#$%^&*)Starting to hate working on these !@#$%^&*ing cars!

Is the pushrod present and of the proper length? Hoses hooked up properly?

Your starting to sound like me dave....I have the one off the 1679 you can try if you want. Im running the electric pump on it.

Your rod might be too short. (he he) They made at least two different lengths depending on fuel pumps designed to clear alternator or generator.

Thanks I will run the engine on the electric and put a hose on the mech. and let it run and pump into a gas can.

Hey can I get a sticky here... If I read the instructions I wrote on the wall of the pole barn I would have seen the hoses were on the wrong way DOH!!!! The top of the pump goes to the tank and the bottom goes to the carb!. I did run the electric into a gas can to feed the carb, and ran the mech. pump off of the tank, nothing, switched the hoses to the correct way and BINGO pumped like well a pump. Drove it for 5~6 miles and all is good.
