For those that are not in the Michigan Vintage VW Club you may not know that I decided to go on the board and was thrust into the position as the Vice Pres. I decided to step up as they were short on board members and I value that club as I do the GoodVolks. Also I was a little miffed on how that club seems to be getting less active and saw this as an opportunity to inject some new interest by making the club more focused on the needs and interests of its members. I of course will always be a Goodvolks member at heart and will use some of the things Ive learned from this club to help MVVC. One of the first responsibilities I was given was to be a co'chair for the Ypsi Show. So Im having to contact companies for sponsorship and such. If you know of a company looking for some cheap advertising let me know. I also decided to spearhead a movement to make club shirts (blue T shirts with the logo) affordable and unchanging so that our members could be picked out of a crowd (sound familiar?). I of course will still be promoting the Frankenmuth show and still going to as many Goodvolks events that I can. So nothing has changed other than Ive added some more responsibilities to my plate.

When I went to EMU there was a VW shop there in town opening up. I've lost the contact info for the owner but his name was Mike and was near the Corner Brewery.

Yea I hope we can have more joint efforts. I feel the old board was bored.... Anyway the show is May 18th. It should be a good one. We will have a duel port 60hp motor running on a display (also for sale). We will have an exh competition as well as a time to blow horns. Ill be building a life sized hot wheels track to take pictures on with a display car on one track, yours on the other.
