spin it up with a wire wheel,see if it has any spark! (wire wheel in a drill, or bench grinder)

I've owned a few 'Mags' just spin it with ur fingers and stick your tongue on the lead

Mags are fine if you have good cranking speed. If you had to push start in a buggy you might be in trouble.

spun it by hand and it made spark. I will try it out and see how it works
