Anyone ever driven the Yankee Springs trails?
We have wanted to go trail riding but have never done it.
I have heard about trails at this state park but can't find much info about them.
What can you tell me about it?

I went through a few times back in the early 90's, had a '71 super that I chased a range rover out with, he couldn't make it up some of the hills so I showed him how. He must have been offended cuz he took off like a bat out of, you know! Must have really got his gourd when I passed him at a wide spot!

Is there a place to park with trailers?
Do we need ORV stickers?

I got some information and I know roughly where to go.
However, with all this rain I am going to postpone this for a week.
Hopefully next Sunday will be drier.

Marie and I took a drive today. I think we found the trails....  We did not go too far because we were in the van. It is at the intersection of Norris and Wildwood. Wildwood T's at Norris going West. If you go East it is the start of the two tracks. I think we can park our trailers at the state park. Otherwise I am not sure where we could park them. Marie and I are tentatively going this coming Sunday, the 27th, if the weather is good. Probably get to the park around 2. Drop the van and trailer at the state park then drive over to the trails. Maybe a 4 mile drive from the park. |
