Hi. My name is Taleesa Chambers. I am from Flint, Michigan. I am married to Mike and we have three daughters, Lilly 8, Sarah 5, and Ruby 3. I am a nurse and my husband works in sales. We also have three cats, Leo, Mickey Cat, and Daisy. I have owned my 75 VW convertible for probably 5 years. I have never really had the experience of driving it, only around the barn and yard (I am scared to take it on the road since I have never driven a manual car). The last 3 years it has been in my dads pole barn. I have watched my husband have all the fun with his 2011 Camaro so I have decided that I need to have a little fun too!! Ever since I was a little girl, my dream was to have a little bright yellow VW convertible with a white top and white interior!! Well, mine is red with black top and black interior. I am feeling guilty for wanting to change her color.
I have grown up around old cars and my dad always having one in the garage redoing something. He does all his own work! Unfortunately he has got his hands into an old 1950 truck that he has had for several years and is not interested in helping me with my project. So I am jumping in head first. I would just like to get her running so I can enjoy it a little this summer, early fall and then put it in our garage to where my husband can start it weekly when he starts his Camaro.
We live a pretty simple life which revolves around our girls. We enjoy camping in the summers, swimming, and riding bikes. My girls dance so that keeps us busy through the school year.
