Mike: Nice score! Looks like a cool bus. Need any parts? Z bed / bench? Bumpers? Sink cabinet?

Yep, a 1970 like you said. It's the Deluxe version due to the trim, which all looks to be there including the one around the nose air vent. The side middle windows are from a later bus, but the sliders are amazing to have.
Front beam is 1yr only, I think the master cylinder is as well. Rear bumper is same 68-71, same with splash pans.
My green and white transporter is also a 70, born a Deluxe but during the PO resto they opted to delete the trim and change the color to green instead of the OG blue and white scheme. Ah well.

It's 9" in diameter and chrome or painted white in my experience.
The late bay ones are tiny and plastic. The split ones are a bit larger and more flat, i.e. less ridges around the edges. In the Colorado westy thread there are a few pics that have the white version.

If you want a hitch talk to Rick in Edon, OH (vwrick). He put one on the yellow/white DC and loves it. From what I remember he didn't have to modify the bumper either so after you find one it'll be all good.

Clarification: peg spacing is 9" from corner to corner when I was trying to figure out how to put the holes in the nose of my 71.
Ed is right, the whole emblem is 10" and they are not cheap!

Mike found 3 emblems one chrome 9 11/16" straight across(dia) 4 mounting pegs 6 3/8" across and same up and down and a quarter of an inch thick, 2) Painted metal(green) 12 7/16" across (dia) 4 mounting pegs 11 3/16 across and about 3/8" thick 3) plastic 6 3/8's 3 tabs. Let me know if ay one of them will help you out? None have the measurements Nick gave though. I've had the chrome one forever, tool box decor???
