Greetings to you all,
I am new to this forum. But not to VW type 1 motors. I met one of your members named 'Dave'. I was indoctrinated into VW motors and chassis working on a project car with my son. We re-built a 'mouse infesed barn find' Bradley GTII kit car on a vw chassis from 2009 to present. (you can see a little of it in my avatar) It is a lot of fun to drive and tinker on. It has been legally on the road now for two years after succeeding in the rebuild with a tight budget in 2011. It is not a 'show car', it is a 'sunnyday driver'. Hope to make it to some of your events, maybe meet some of you, swap knowledge, etc. I wish I had known about this local forum sooner. I have enjoyed buying my parts off TheSamba.com, e-bay, Bradley GT car club and craigslist. But I am always looking to do something more with the car. I am currently playing with the idea of putting a Porsche 914 1.7 motor I recently procured into this thing. (but I need more parts first)
