I had to replace Dorothy's Miata battery on Saturday. It finally gave up the ghost after 10 years. Finding a new one locally was a bit of a stretch, because it is a Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) battery, which is similar to my Odyssey battery. These are sealed batteries, with vent tubes to prevent them from rusting out the trunk. They are not very large, and the Duracell one I purchased only has 320 CCA, which is the stock rating. The big thing is, that it uses standard posts, and only weighs 25 pounds! They are $109 at Batteries Plus, and as a bonus, they are actually made in the USA. I think this one would be one inch longer than the Duracell, but that's a guess after looking at the original Panasonic.
