Last I heard on their Facebook page was that they planed to open on the 4th but postponed it until later this summer.

Hey guys. Please pass this around and let everyone know. Bren, Rudy, Clinton sorry for the wrong information. The benefit for Onondaga will be at Springport Motor Speedway. The show starts at 2p.m. and lasts until 6p.m. Car show entry, I believe is $10, and entry for spectators is $1. All is a donation. Please spread the word. Come out and show your support. We have all lost many tracks over the years, and the thought of one coming back is incredible. As motorsports fans, we all need to show our support for this. Please. I will be there, and hope to see you too.

I believe it is the 27th. Springport speedway is located in the middle of nowhere, just east of a pig farm!  Growing up in Eaton Rapids in the 90's, I spent my fair share of time at what used to be known as MIS, Michigan Ideal Speedway, great facility! It is located south of Eaton Rapids, and north of Albion. |

The drag racing we planned on at Stanton this weekend is postponed due to this more important event. Here is a copy of contact info from the local tracks thread:
There is a benefit car show for Onondaga Dragway on the 27th. The car show will be held at Springport Motor Speedway, 23849 30 Mile Road, Springport, MI 49284.
For additional information on the benefit show contact Marti at (517) 812-5224
I intend to call tonight. Will update here with any new info.

Just talked to Marti. I asked if we could send a donation to help, if we can't attend the car show and she said that would be great. In my case I'd be spending a lot in travel expenses that are better sent directly to the track.

This is a great cause to support. She also said if things go well we may be able to do a VW event at Onondaga this year yet. Sounds great to me.
