Hey all,
Just starting re-doing a 66 beetle that is completely striped down, wanted to know the best place to order parts from, Closer the better to Grand Rapids, MI
Any Ideas would be helpful.

Appletreeauto.com has free shipping on orders over $75 and they're in Michigan. Cip1.com is on the west coast, has free shipping also, but it takes 7-10 days for delivery.

I like Randy Townsend and B and L Sandtoys in Mears. They both support the Bug Run's so I like to support them. Plus they have good products at fair prices.

There are lots of VW events with swap meets that are a fun way to get the parts needed. The swap at the Bug Run is a very very good one.

If you mail order Apple Tree is fine But they don't have POO! in their store unless you want t-shirts,hoodies and ATV stuff. B&L is taking over Apple Trees store in the near future. My vote goes to B&L also for local. There is also R&N Sport Buggy on Sprinkle Rd in Kalamazoo. We lost the best Parts friend in Georges Hot VW they are having a out of business sale Sunday June 23rd from 9am to 3pm (d**n Cancer!!!). See the forum for more info or just ask.
