I have been working on restoring this double cab for about 5 years now. Hope to have it back on the road by the end of next summer, although that is what I said this summer. This probably qualifies as a mid-life crisis kind of a thing, although I do have a bit of a history with VWs ('74 camper plus 2 convertibles and a sedan in my younger years). I live in Grand Rapids and own a commercial real estate consulting firm. There is a build thread of sorts on the Samba, you can get an idea what I started with and how far I have come.
