I picked up a bandsaw. Small enough to fit in my shop, big enough to do what I need. Best of all, it was FREEEEEEEE!

The bandsaw I have was a freebie, also. Cuts steel way cheaper than cut-off wheels.

I had a cold cutoff saw for years in my shop. The blade turned so slow, you almost felt you could touch a tooth while it was spinning. (Fortunately, the smart part of my brain...the part that liked all of my fingers, and didn't like to bleed) said DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS!
Finally, I finally said it was time to make this go away, it was large, heavy, and worst of all, used 3 phase power, which required a motorized transformer.
I still miss it! I have had several bandsaws through the years, but I could never make them cut as accurate as I wanted.
Dave
The stupid part of my brain did win out once...I found that I could actually touch the ground by hanging my arm out the window on the SAAB race car. and touch the ground outside the car while driving. I had a thick glove on my left hand, but it really was kind of cool to be able to do this...amazing how really low a 40 inch tall car actually is!

This saw was in an old storage barn that I was cleaning at work, about two years ago. I put it out for everyone to claim, but, after two years, nobody took it, so, it's mine. Works good, just needs an on/off switch.
