I don't know about these days, but in the 1980s when I served in Germany, they used VeDubs for d**n near everything. If it wasn't a VW, it was a UniMog. The first time a German Police type 1 few past me on the autobahn like I was going backwards, I was hooked. I was an aircraft electrician and my flightline maintenance truck was a crewcab. I was in heaven driving that around the base..

Thanks Rick. I think that is VW powered water pump, which I would LOVE TO HAVE ONE!!! I have seen air compressors similar to that on SAMBA threads. The VWs in background would be GREAT also, just WITHOUT all those crappy nazis'.
By the way Rick, I see YOU have a B-DAY coming up, have a nip{if there is some left } and GREAT day.

The bus came out after the war. So, I don't think they are nazis. German Fire department probably got a good deal on surplus helmets.

Ya just thought it was cool device and thought of you, yep sure do have a bday comin up, im even gonna give everyone at the goodvolks my bday off with pay ;D, i believe theres enough left to just have a nice little attitude change, bout time for more.
