Bug Run

This was our first bug run since we came back to the VW world, and my daughter's first ever. She loved it and had a blast even though it was quite a bit milder than I remember, but it might be the season, as well as the runs we used to go to were in Texas and California. But, we still had a good time. Was nice meeting Ruffus there. Wish we had more time to chat. My daughter's favorite in the show side was this rat bug (we have alot of the same tastes) Here is my daughter acting the fool. She's sort of a nut case, but a fun, happy kid. Here was my favorite race bug. Loved this bug for some reason. Just clean, and nice looking bug. Sounded awesome too. This early Ghia was the daughter's favorite racer. Anyway.. The daughter really had a good time and enjoyed herself. Looks like she might be a VDub lifer. I hope so. She kept whining and complaining that we couldn't bring Scarab with us, but, Scarab is down until we change that brake line. Bought a buttload of old VW Trend magazines from a guy that was selling for for a quarter a piece. Thats the rag I used to subscribe to back in the day. I bought enough of those to keep me reading for awhile now.. It was a nice day.

Had fun for the time I was there, left about 2pm. (soccer). Stevens' trailer came home a whole lot lighter(a good thing).

The daughter was eye-ballin your chassis you had on your trailer. I wish you had a roller though. she knows I am going to be in the market for one soon, but I had to explain the difference in a roller, and a bare frame. lol Glad ya made a little. But, like always, real car guys spend more than they make at those things.. Your $40 I took from ya didn't even get warm in my pocket before it was gone too, hahhah..
