I had to introduce my family again because we got word last week that we are parents. ;D Thats right....We got a referral for a little girl. For those who do not know we have been married 18 years and we have been going thru the adoption process for the past year or more. Seems like a life time. Julie and I are so happy as you can imagine. Now we have another member of the Goodvolks family. We have to go thru mountains of paper work so she might not be in our home for a few months. She will be about 9 months at that point. Heres a picture of her below. When shes old enough I will teach her how to remove an engine from a VW. ;D Thanks. Johnw in Plainwell

Wow I am happy for you. I remember when my aunt and uncle adopted a baby and the huge about of paper work and back ground checks just to make sure that the baby is going to a good home. At times it does seam like a hassle but in the end its worth it.

Congrats, nothing like the joy of kids, or the frustration either, but its all worth it in the end. Wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. As Im sitting here my youngest is telling everyone he loves them, he's 3, it melts me.

John and Julie, how are the paperwork mounds doing? I can't wait for your very special project to draw to a close and you can hug her, hold her and love her like she deserves. The only thing better are grandkids cause you spoil them rotten and send them home to the parents so they can deal with the sugar high(It's Grand). Keep us informed and up dated, project pictures would be nice also. Later Kenn

;DThanks Kenn. The paperwork is like a endless road and it goes forever. Since we got the referral the foster family is to mail us a current medical report and more pictures. As soon as I get them I will be sure to post them. At this point the adoption papers are signed and sent off in the mail so now its another waiting game. As soon as the papers come back (4 to 8 weeks) we then send a form to the US Govt. to get a Visa and then the baby will come home. I keep looking at her picture every minute of the day. Julie and I are so happy. I am leaving the decorating of her room to Julie.
