Anybody interested in a Porsche 9XX (77 model) for the transaxle? There is a local guy that depretly needs to unload a running/driving 924. He said he'll take $1600 today for it. But I bet it can be had cheaper. Those transaxles do very nicely in VWs.

914? With the transaxle behind the engine opposite of VW? The water cooled 5 speed transaxle driven by a torque tube from the front mounted engine to the rear of the car for almost 50/50 weight balance would benice to with a nice 100 hp+ turbo 4 from the SRT4 Neon or the lightweight V engines. Even a TDI might be enough zip.

His is a 924. Rear mounted transaxle front mounted watercooled engine. Those transaxles make great VW transaxles. That's what I was considering, but just dont have the funds to do it.

This guy just contacted me with the Porsche. Runs and drives, and currently registered (he just took a road trip with it). He said $1000 and it's mine. I don't have the funds. I would buy it just for the transaxle if I could. A steal for some great parts. Anybody interested, let me know and I will get you connected with him.. He needs it gone fast.
