I recently started working on my moms 74 beetle sun bug. Its on the road currently while I work on it. Is there anywhere fairly close that I can get parts? There's quite a bit of stuff that I need to get and things like a hood are crazy expensive to get shipped in and I haven't made my rounds through the junkyards yet because I've been busy. Anybody around here already scout the area?

I'm just south of Kalamazoo. I am not really a newbe with VWs, but been out of the circles for over 10 years, so basically, I am starting over to meet people and the hot spots for stuff myself. Touch base with me sometime..

I'll have to cruise over to sprinkle sometime today....
I'm actually a newb on VW. Things are quite "different" thats for sure
I'm pretty sure I'm still under about $300 in on this project at least

I'm still learning and enjoy every bit of it. everyone so far has been very helpful, some with others with information. the goodvolks is very active with shows, races, cruises etc. Lots of opportunity to meet people....just wish I could make more events. I work 65+ hours a week, gotta earn to be able to play!  |
