Just a few miles from me, there is a shell of a Bay Window sitting by the road for sale. After stopping and checking it out, found it has no motor or transaxle, only the IRS shafts dangling there. The inside is rough but seems to be all or at least mostly there. Somebody when crazy with scrap paint cans on it, and it is just about every color in the rainbow, but other than that, looks fairly solid. The floors will need some work, but not too bad. There is a $300 price tag on it. I love the busses, but am more a Splitty guy. I was more interested in the motor/transaxle, but since they aren't there, I'll pass, but I am thinking for someone looking for a Bay project, it might be a pretty solid foundation. I didn't look hard at each window, but all the glass seemed to be in tact. Is $300 a good starting point for a shell like that?

Scrap buses and junkyard buses have come up in conversation recently in the Nebraska VW club and other places I frequent in my free time. haha, free time, such a funny concept.
Anyway, from what I've learned ~$300 is what a junkyard pays in MN, OH, and out here in NE for a complete parts/junk bus with a title. These are prices from places where you pull off the parts yourself and from smaller private salvage yards.

Good to know for anybody in the lower Michigan area looking for one. He has $300 on the windshield, so I would bet to guess you could get it for $200 or less. He/she probably just wants it gone. Might be a good project for a bus guy. If anybody wants the phone number, I wrote it down. PM me and I'll turn ya one to it.
