VW Rag

Being out of the VW community for many years, and just now getting back into it, would like to know what VW magazines everyone is reading these days? I have always been a huge magazine guy, and would like to know is a good one these days? I like magazines with lots of tech info, and projects and things like that. Sure I like to look at pictures as much as the next guy, and get ideas from those too, but I look more for the tech articles, and projects, and not crazy about thumbing through tons of advertisements to look for them. What is a good mainstream rag these days?

Hot VWs is really the only US based magazine left.

There are several British VW mags, but I only look at them, and pick it up if there is something I can't live without.

I have to check Barnes and Noble or Boarders bookstores for these, and it depends on the bookstore if they stock them.

I was kinda under that impression. Hot VW is one I used to read years ago. Have one I picked up last month, and it seemed to be more full of advertisments and pretty colorful pictures than actual projects and tech stuff. I guess I'll subscribe to it again. It is pretty to look at. But maybe I caught it on a bad month..

AHH.. NOW I remember my rag of choice years ago. "VW Trends". Is VW Trends no longer around? All I can find is a web site. Do they not publish the magazine anymore?

Your first impression of Hot VWs is right on, pretty show cars and not much technical articles. Its a cheap subscription though and worth the money for me.
