So I was Photoshopping my Baja again, I starting thinking Sprintstars would look good on my car. They dont seem to make them for 8" wide(rear) and 6". I have never looked to see how they are built. Can they be cut and welded?

Before paying them to do it you should search sprint star in samba or look through the swaps at shows. I have seen tons of already widened wheels way cheaper than the cost to have them done

I don't know what this costs, but I have personally seen wheels that have been done by Weldcraft, and the work is absolutely first rate. If I ever had to have something done, they would be at the top of my list.

EMPI made 4.5, 5.5, 8, and probably other widths; plus people have widened them as Dustin said. I agree with him fully, it's way easier and cheaper to look and wait for some to pop up. I've seen them on craigslist in both MI and OH in the past two years when I was looking for an 8th 5.5x15 to complete my set (didn't buy them as I have no use for an 8" wide rim.) They're out there, and sometimes can be had mighty cheap. 10" wide NOS on thesamba www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1293926

I saw that 10" wheel. The odd thing is,it looks like just one. I will start hunting around.
