12mm will allow more meat between the plug & the valve

No advantage , other then availability ;D But most auto parts stores have the 12's now days  I would go with 12mm because like I stated above, more materal between the plug hole and valve seat means less likly to crack  |

The heads are getting drilled for 12s. Nice call.
