Went to that auction in Canton yesterday, wow ALL the sharks were there. Anything that was VW related went for crazy $$$$$. The old guy had some very cool stuff. The 61 westy went for $15500 plus 13% buyers premium and the buyer had driven from Washington DC with a truck and trailer. The auctioneer never really got anything around, just went in and started selling chunks of stuff. And it was HOT!!!!!!

Yes the auction was great! I got to meet some new people and find out about this club. I also got to see some of my northern friends and I got to spend some good time with my friend Lance the guy who bought the bus (hes a mad man). We met up there at 1am on Tuesday and got up early to check the bus out. I was able to pick up some tools and a few other things...only wish I had more play money, I definatly wanted more!
The estate was that of a former VW/Porsche salesman, from talking to his brother at the auction I realized he was a really brillant man who worked hard and enjoyed his VW's and Porsches with the same passion many of us have. Not only that he flew his ultralight plane and would land it on a homemade landing strip in his back yard! What a way to live
