Back in 1977 I had a new Honda GoldWing. I've been looking for a while and finally found one. It was on the east side of the state, and hadn't been ridden in 30+years (stored in a hangar, just over 12k miles on the clock). Here's a pic just after taking it off the trailer. Looks pretty good, but beauty is only skin deep. Fuel was left in the tank & carburetors and antifreeze in the system - Not good! Ended up cleaning and relining the tank and replacing the water pump and all the o-rings & seals in the cooling system Front cover off to remove water pump and some of the seals Old & New pumps. New one is OEM, just revised/improved version Radiator held pressure and cleaned up nice. Before After & some related bits Pump back in with front cover cleaned & painted Front brake seals were leaking too Seems the PO had a thing for chrome. Time worked its magic on pretty much every piece Blasted the chrome off (not easy...). Sanded and polished em up Just after stripping the chrome and a light sanding. The aluminum was badly pitted Two hours of sanding & polishing More hours of polishing Work in progress Carbs had to be rebuilt Before After Fuel pump had seen better days too Used Red Kote to seal the tank Starting to go back together Finished!

That is a beautifully detailed job you did. I like the older Gold Wings, reminds me of the '84 I had.

Thanks Bob. They're affectionately known as "naked wings" No fairings or saddle bags.

Thanks guys.
Put about 600 miles on it. Finally got the carbs adjusted. Got to look at the clutch. It grabs right at the end of its travel (thinking one of the disc' is stuck to its plate?).
