I used to have a crank gear puller, now I do again. ;D
It's heavy and has no legs, so, it can't walk on it's own, but if it did, I'd take pictures! ;D

That is maddening. Buying replacements for those "incredible walking tools" really screws up the tool budget. What bothers me the most is once you have been stung, it is tough to loan tools to anyone. I personally will only borrow a tool once- if I need it again, it is time for me to buy one.

Did you check Liam's toolbox? That is what my father would say "all " of his tools are, are in my toolbox. The one I have is for garden tractors or similar, dunno where I got that from.

<---no gots. Unless I borrowed it back when I put that 1641 together 4-5 years ago, but I think I took the crank & the gear in as 1 piece to that shop that "used" to be in GR.

Are you talking about the torque meister tool? If so I saw it on the table at Ray's, where the VW manuals were.

I had $3500 worth of tools stolen from my garage in '97 when I lived in Lansing, insurance covered about 75% of replacement. I just got back to what I had in '97, which is most of the reason that I've stayed away from doing VW work for anyone other than myself until recently. Bren, I have my torque meister. I checked Liam's toolbox, not there...

Well that sucks. Hopefully it was an honest misunderstanding and will be returned soon.

Patrick:
That sucks. If you find it, check to see if a MAC digital timing light is with it. Mine walked away a couple of years ago...
Some sort of tool party?
I certainly hope it finds it way home!

Well that sucks. Hopefully it was an honest misunderstanding and will be returned soon. I hope so. I'd be happy if it showed up in my front yard one morning... Patrick: That sucks. Dave Tool party! ;D It hasn't been gone long, a couple months at the most. I didn't notice it was gone until yesterday, when I needed it.
