I'm a Datsun Z nut, but I've been bitten by the Beetle Bug... I picked up this '62 Baja Bug this summer in Plainwell. It was literally a basket-case. Both the 1600 and the 1500 came in wire baskets.   I'm selling it now (see classifieds), but it was so much fun to assemble, I might be looking at another (a Manx) this spring  ps. I know someone is gonna' ask sooner or later, so here's the Datsun 'Z:  It's running a modified Nissan 2.4 liter. I broke into the high 14's at Martin US 131 last summer. Maybe 13's for 2009? We'll see ;D |

Welcome Daiv, I new that Baja looked familiar. Hope you get another project and meet up with us. I have always like Datsun Z's as well.

Welcome. I remember seeing that baja on the samba for sale. You need to drop a chevy 350 in that z, my brother-inlaw could lift the front wheels on his, had a pretty built 350 with stout trans also and very meaty tires.
