as soon as the weather gets nice we plan on heading to saint helen westbranch area cruising the fire trails. anyone planning a get together with a group? theres a couple bugs buggys going.
would like to meet up with some other vw people. if you already have something planned let me know a date and time

I hope to do some trail riding this summer. Have not done that yet. Don't really know where to go.
Post up when and where when you go. Maybe some of us can join you.
I only have street tires, paddles, and desert traks. Would street tires work where you go?

i went anywhere i wanted to go with a set of 215/75 15 street tires on my sandshark a couple years ago. a couple of the guys runs street tires with no problems. last time up we burned 2 tanks of gas and did no more than a couple miles on pavement.
we try to go a couple times a summer.
during october a bunch of freinds do a deer camp and theres 6-8 of us running all weekend ;D

The desert traks are pretty tough and thick aren't they? Are they the ones that have the 2 lines running down the middle? I would say they would be perfect for that. I have some Baja Belted Mickey Thompsons and some Goodyear Terra tires.

Yes, that is what desert tracks are. I don't know how tough/thick they really are though. I see them as for the sand and short trips back to the campground.

we will be in st helen from thurs to sunday. should be 5 of us. 3 beetles and two buggies. ill try to check back here tonight and see if anyone wants to meet up ;D im actually leaving tomorow morning so i wont be back online after tonight.
