my bug sits about one inch lower in the back than in the front, and I'd like to go with 2 inch lift spindles up front... so, what would it take to raise the back 3 inches? my spring plates are only 1/4 inch off the stops right now. even with notching them I don't imagine I'd be able to get that much from re-indexing. Do I need longer trailing arms? type 2 cv's and axles? what will be the most cost effective way of rasing it? thanks

I was building a 73 standard, with 3 inch lift spindles up front. To match the front i had to put a 3/4 notch in the spring plates. With 26mm bars it was level. The next problem is i needed bus stubs, bus cup for the type 1 tranny, and run type 4 cv's. ($$$$ That I don't have) But it looks sweet. Good luck with your project. Still tring to figure out what i am going to do with mine.
