The Jan 22nd date was a blizzard date in case the meeting was snowed out on the 15th. There is no meeting on the 22nd.

Minutes from 1/15/12 GV mtg:
All classified ads are subject to deletion after 4 months. When you sell an item put SOLD in the title and a moderator will delete the post.

Yes we can have a new classified section for links to members' ads on other sites.

We will not have a water-cooled VW section on our forums. All VWs are still welcome at Bug Runs of course.

We do not know what kind of fliers/advertisements will be put out by US131. GV will not have their own flier of dates for car shows. We need to get the word out to help fill up the vender areas for the swaps. Please offer a handshake to any new member, prospective member, and long-time no-see members you come across to open that communication and be welcoming to all.

Yes to a map version of "where are they" for GV members. (already on a thread in the forums)

Dustin is working on ideas to change up the printing service and the process of pictures for the calendar.

An official club photographer is not necessary. Per event to have a volunteer photographer would be nice. We need more pictures at the Bug Runs of the winners. Would like to put that in local free papers to help promote the Bug Runs. Would like volunteers for this. Position of photographer at the Bug Runs would need to be okayed with US131.

We will remain a VW club with no dues and will not be pursuing non-profit organization status in the near future due to legal issues and funding. This was a unanimous vote. We should do more GTGs however large or small they are all year long when there isn't a scheduled VW car show. GTGs should try to be the second weekend of a month when there is no car show that month.

T-shirts will probably still be available but as a personal order, but not as a club buying them and then selling them. More details are needed for this.

We will still be supporting Bug Runs, Drag Days, Buggy Builders, traveling together to other shows for whoever wants to join in, and casual GTGs like color tour, 4th of July parade, lunches, dinners, Christmas party. The South Haven show will not be happening again - that would require us to be a nonprofit group (which was voted down).

One annual meeting is good. January is preferred time of the year for that.

We do not have club officers. Volunteers for individual tasks like reserving a location for GTGs, scheduling for caravans to car shows, helping park cars at Bug Runs, taking pictures, and just generally being a welcoming GV member are always needed.
