Dorr July 4th Parade

Steve and I are having a VW GTG on July 4th and we'd like to invite everyone to be in the Dorr parade too. There is no registration or cost. We will have ham sandwiches, chips, cookies, drinks, and tableware/cups at our house for afterwards. If everyone brought a dish to pass and a lawn chair I think we'd be all set! Our neighborhood and the neighborhood behind us light up the sky all evening to get your fireworks fix. We can meet at our house before the parade if needed (it starts just around the corner from us). Line up is at 9:00am and the parade is at 10:30. Parade route is just about 1 mile. It usually lasts about an hour. We can pass out our fliers to promote the Bug Run. The rules say not to, but there is usually tons of candy thrown at this parade so if you just want to watch that's good too!

PM Teeniebits or TeamAFX if you need directions. Using US131, the Dorr exit is closed (exit 68) and you'd have to use Wayland (exit 64) or 100th St (one exit North).

I really like the idea of this. Used to do the Marshall cruise on the 4th. It is so poorly run now that it will be nice to start a new July 4 VW tradition! As of right now Marie and I plan to be there.

Dorr is located South of Grand Rapids, North of Kalamazoo, East of Holland and West of Wayland. If that helps.

I did get to steer it and use the brakes when it had to be pushed out and back into the garage last Saturday! whoohoo
