My loving wife has loaned me out to the Volkslauf people so I will be working a running race in Frankenmuth for most of the day. I will then be trying to recoup from being overheated outfdoors all day and may poke my head outside to see local fireworks.. I would like to go though... but its just not happening.

Lot's of fun! This was our first parade. Really enjoyed it.

We were so surprised the size of the parade and crowds. Every spectators were excited to see our VWs.
Dorr is a little town, but they know how to put the parade!
Next year we'd like to bring Bus and Ghia.

Awesome parade today! its not a good VW ride until someone gets punched - Steve could hear people in the crowds slug buggin' each other throughout the parade and also loving Aki's bus!  We're so glad we had a good turnout and probably gained a couple of dune buggy members! Dave & Beth T and Steven & Jamie stayed for dinner, the "after party  ", and fireworks. Thanks for enjoying the day/evening with us! |

We had a great time. I hope we can do it again next year. Next time I will have a LOT more candy and I won't let anyone take pics of Dave and I doing what we did..........  ?? Thanks to everyone who came. And to those who missed it, you have a year to make plans for the next one. |

 Steve, Dave T & Beth, New Guy in dune buggy, Bren & Marie, Rudy & Beth, Aki & Michelle, and Mike and Robin.  These pics were right at the beginning of the parade route-Steve had 4 pounds of Smarties and didn't even get halfway-there were so many people. Parade took about 1 hour to go 1 mile. |
