I was talking to Steve at the Zoo Show in Lansing and mentioned that I may not have enough spark arrestors disks on my Baja. How many do you guys have?

More disks == less back pressure == louder. I think I have 12 in my exhaust. Thanks Dave T

Another trick is to put washers between the discs. Let's it breath better.

hmmm, I took all the disk off just to see and the car seemed to like that I will count my disks and maybe add washers

Now the only problem with the NO disk exhaust is the DNR. They have the whole noise and fire thing they worry about . So you need some to help with back pressure unless you are all out drag racing. Thanks Dave T

If you are going to off-road the Baja, you have to add disks to prevent sparks.
It's really simple to do, start with four or five, and keep adding or subracting disks until you are satisfied with the way the car drives. You can even tune the torque curve that way.

it would appear I need more disks then. I have baffles in the pipe which help. I am not a big fan of that raw open sound.
