Hello GoodVolks; Even though I have lived in Western Michigan now since 2004, I am new to this group. The attached picture is my '67, which I have owned since 1989 when I bought it from the original owner. Over the years, the car has undergone some updating. Of course, it is all stock  I am a gearhead/motorhead and have learned much over these years of owning this and other cars. I am looking forward to meeting everyone here online and at upcoming events and to sharing ideas and technological insight about our prized air-cooled toys. Chris Attachments:

Many thanks. mostly autocrossing and have turned a few laps at Gratten during various track days. The car is not set up for drag racing and it has a long "street/highway" gearbox. Attachments:

There is going to be an autocross at the bug runs this year!
It would be fantastic to see some VW's running that event.

Welcome, Cool looking ride. If I can race a Thing(people were going to get food and coming back, before I finshed my pass). you can sure race an Autocross Bug. It's just for fun in my eyes, sh!ts and giggles. You don't have to beat on it, just have FUN!

This was a few years ago at the SCCA Central Division event at Grissom AFB in Peru, IN. A very fun event even if I did get crushed by two Lotus Super 7 replicas powered by Honda S2000 drivelines. Attachments:

Thank you on the wheels - btw - which ones? the Silver multi spokes or the yellow ones on with the race slicks?
Autocrossing is a lot of fun, but I have also gotten hooked on track days - the one picture was taken at Grattan back in 2007. I played a little bit the the local W.MI SCCA in the past and went to a few Ferrin Group events, but time is not my friend and many events conflicted.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone on the 23rd at 131 Motorsports Park and hope that someone can enlighten me on upcoming events in W.MI.
Just to set a bug in everyone's ear (that punn was intended) - the third weekend of August is the Woodward Dream Cruise - who is planning on going on this religious pilgrimage? I've been there now since 2006 either with my Bug or with my Benz and am planning adding some CO2 emissions there this year again.
Btw - the yellow wheels will be for sale soon (without the tires because the slicks were shot)
