Ok Oshtemo it is.
Here is the address. McDonald's 5296 S 9th St Kalamazoo MI 49009-9503 Meet there at 6:40am Saturday April 30th
Before in the past we met at the Burger King right off of I-94 at 9th Street but now they are closed. There is a McDonald's across the street from the old Burger King.
I know the address says Kalamazoo but due to the zip code change from a few years ago anything with a 49009 zip code is Kalamazoo. Trust me its correct.
According to Map-Quest its a 3.5 hour drive or about 4 hours via VW. We do have the time zone on our side so you do not have to wake up so early. So...
The show starts at 10:00am or 11:00am our time. So if we leave at McDonald's at 7:00am our time that should allow for 4 hours of travel time (in-case for a pit stop).
So please arrive at McDonald's at 6:40am ish. We will leave at 7:00am stragglers will have to play catch up.
The route is very simple but all freeway sorry. I-94 West I-80 West IL-351 exit 77 at LaSalle
If I remember correctly you can see JC Whitney from I-80.
Also remember that I-80 is a toll road so bring spare change or cash.
I will send out an email to remind everyone. If you plan on showing up and caravaning with us please post.
HarshWinters has been to our shows in past we need to show support and go to their shows too.

Off of I-80, you want Exit 81 on Hwy 178, turn left, go back over I-80. Turn right at 1st stop sign, go 1/8 of a mile and turn right onto Murphy Dr. JCW is straight up that Rd.

Wow Dan you go me worried so I checked the miles. Its 231 miles from McDonald's to the Show so round trip its 462 miles.
Last year the Bus averaged 23 mpg so it will be $83.50 in gas for me if the price stays at $4.15.
I guess i need to get the Ghia running now because it gets average 28 mpg

So, should we consider carpooling in an invisible?

Honestly I was hoping to drive the Bus but if everyone else wants to car pool in an invisible car I guess I can tag along too.
I don't own a multi-person invisible car so someone else will need to drive.

Ummm Im totally with you on the invisable car thing. This gas thing is getting outragous. I can justify driving to grand rapids but not the whole 6 hour trip. Hmmmm my suburban only gets like 13-14mpg but does seat 9 people and has room for bought goodies as well if everyone chips in for some gas..... Let me know, or maybe use someones van (all pile in AJ's van !! ) . I was originally thinking of missing this one (save my money for the us131 show and MAM show) but if we can car pool I MAY still be game. Or I could drive Ally the whole way if I get a rider to split gas with. Ally has been averaging around 17-20mpg (big motor big gas costs). Oh and uh the weather.. um may be drippy 40% chance of drippy.....

I have spare seats in the Bus but I would feel better if another car could join us on the journey. Due to the fact that its a new motor that I have had issues with. Kind of like putting eggs all in to one basket kind of stuff.
Dan if you can get to Kalamazoo you can have a seat in the Bus.

Thanks for the video. I saw Glen and myself in the video. The video was taken right after we arrived to the show in 2009. I am still unloading the Ghia and Glen is setting up his tent. More people and cars showed up after the video.
The picture I took of the same show latter on in the day is in the very first post of this thread.

Just had a thought. Does anyone that is going have a canopy that they can bring? The canopy might be nice to keep the sun/rain off of us just in-case.
Also don't forget your fold-able chairs.
