Thanks Kenn!
David, I missed your post at first, sorry. Looking forward to seeing you there. What can be done to make it with your Bug? Sent you a PM. The autox is probably the ones at the Bug Runs. I figure on looking over what they are doing in the spring while running the drags and then decide drags Vs autox for the fall event.

I kept the stock rubber mounts, except on the engine & tranny. When I launch the car it wheel hops and shakes bad... probably break something (got a show coming up in 2 weeks). I do plan on installing tubular A-Arms and components with urethane mounts, just haven't got to it yet. Just in case though... what type/rating of helmet is required? -Ray

They have never checked my helmet. Just sayin. I believe they enforce IHRA rules.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this the best Drag Days yet. The comparatively small turn out of "regular" drag cars made the presence of all the VW's even more dramatic. I am sure the track officials noticed and have realized they are gaining revenue from their Bug Runs beyond the receipts from just those events. Your participation will help keep the Bug Runs alive. It was great to see new faces here and good to know the club is growing.
We may have to rename this event. How about the "Mike Fisher Driving Showcase"? The Drag Days are all about fun, but driving is definitely part of it and not many can match the skill of "Three Time Mike". When he won with a .001 a couple of years ago it seemed a combination of good skill and good luck. His second win showed that he is always always a force to be reckoned with. This time, however, Steve was looking good for the win with his "James Bond" reaction time of .007 for most of the day. Then on his last run Mike went for broke. Well Mike played it conservative and slowed down from his .001 record to a .002 to take the win. I think we all now realize that all 3 of his wins have nothing to do with luck.
