Many thanks for the offer on the rescue help.

The biggest challenge is that I have to order a few parts from Germany and am not sure if they will get here in time for that event (new master cylinder - I love good brakes...). Will have to see how the next few weeks play with my work schedule and de-winterizing the car.

If its not ready in time, I will still make an effort to come out.

I'll do my best to be there. Hopefully bring my car, doubt if I'll race it, still recuping from shoulder reconstruction..jammin gears isn't on the PT to do list. I know this is air cooled but is it OK if I invite my sons wc friends, (they won't be in the contest)? We need to expose the youngins to the old wagens or they'll die out along with us!

my car isn't the problem it's the shoulder...quick reactions and certain movements are out and could send me back to square one....don't need that. Spent the last 6 weeks watching Bonanaza.

Hi Ray,
Something we try to do on threads about events is to put the details in the very first post. That way you don't have to dig through a long post to get the details.
Here are the details:
"The track website says gates open at 11AM and racing starts at noon. We will try to get an area away from others so we can pit together and will have a "driver's meeting" around 12:15. At 3:00 PM we will get back together and the best reaction time with an air-cooled VW wins the trophy." Should be easy to find us actually. Just drive all the way around to the pits.

I will do my best to be there. Might not have the beetle up and running by then though... I hear a rumor that there will be an autocross at a Goodvolks event? Do we know where/when yet? I want to try and set that date aside.

The weather report this morning sounded better. The prediction is for the chance of rain to stop around 10AM, so let's hope for the best. The day is filled with GoodVolks activities rain or shine so don't let the forecast keep you at home!
