Quick! Will these '72 seats fit?

Need some quick help! Still "green" on what will and wont work on our car. Will these '72 super beetle seats fit with little to no mods in our '72 standard beetle? If any mods, what would they be? Guy wants $100.00 for the pair, fair in price?

"I do still have the seats but on the 1971-72 super beetle the seats are not bolted. the frame rails are welded to the floor and the seats slide back on the rails."

I assume that is a no go......

The seats from a 72 Super are the same as a 72 Std, but your car or his may have been modified.

$60-$100 a pair is about what they sell for. If your floor tracks are stock you can use seats that are Pre-72'. The 73' and newer use a different seat mounting set up.

There were a set of seats at the Kalamazoo swap meet a few weeks back that the guy wanted $20 for the pair, but they needed to be recovered.

Beware some SB seats have the pyimid mount in the front ,Should be plenty at the BBS in lansing in a cpl weeks

Super Beetle and Standard 73' and up have the pyramid mount.

None of the Beetle seats came bolted to the floor from the factory. Up to '72 had the rails welded to the floor like the seller says. '73 and later use a 3-point mount like others have mentioned. It sounds like what he has are stock seats.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I should have checked to see what we currently have in the car long ago but forgot. I don't think we will be making it to the bbs but I know something will pop up.
