Nice job, Steven. It looks like a big job drilling all of the spot welds on the heater channels. That's probably the best use of a bed frame that I've ever seen! ;D Thanks for the pictures; they could certainly help someone else with planning a similar project.

Steven, looking at your other pics... What did you use to cut the old floor out along the tunnel?? Did you clean the spot welds up later or just lay the new floor over the old and weld in place?? Thanks Dave T

Dave T, I used a saws all. They are just laying there now, going to clean everything up and weld all in at one time.

Thanks, hopefully I have this finished by the time they call me back to work.
At the Bug Run i'm going to be looking for a front firewall, the rear quarters, the front wheel wells, and the two rear crossmembers.
Unless anyone has some that they are not going to be using and want to get rid of, on here.

Looking good Steven, never saw the heat channels removed before. When your bug gets running you can test drive it over here and look at it. ;D Or anyother time.

Well since it has been in the 50s here decided it was time to put the body and pan back together. It isn't bolted down but will be soon hopefully.

The body is partially bolted to the heater channel. I need to make a run to the "store" and get some more body bolts to hold it for now. I plan on replacing all the bolts with new ones. Just for safety reasons.
